Walking In The Authority Jesus Gave To Us

Walking in authority takes commitment. Commitment to get into the Word of God and know what it says. When we know what it says then we can use it.

Luke 10:19-20 (KJV)

19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Serpent: a snake, figuratively (as a type of sly cunning) an artful malicious person, especially Satan: - serpent.

One definition of serpent in the WD: a treacherous person

                   - This is a person that is not able to be trusted, can be

very dangerous and difficult to deal with

Scorpion: (to pierce); a “scorpion” (from its sting): - scorpion

20 Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.

         Luke 10:19-20 (AMPC)

19 Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [ physical and

mental strength and ability ] over all the power that the enemy [ possesses ]; and nothing shall in any way

         harm you.

20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are

         enrolled in heaven.

         Luke 10:20 (NLT)

But don't rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven."

Our authority goes all the way back to the beginning when God gave man (us) dominion. After Adam gave it up, Jesus gave it back by being the way for us to receive it.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV)

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Dominion: to crumble off: - (come to, make to) have dominion, prevail against, reign, (bear, make to) rule, (-r,

         over), take.

WD: law:  supreme authority :  sovereignty having dominion over the natural world

As We Walk In Authority, We Need The Understanding That We Are Overcomers

1 John 4:4 (KJV)

Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
