Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
Pleasant words are agreeable words. They are a delight to the ones that hear them. They minister grace to the hearer (Ephesians 4:29). God’s Word is life unto those that find them (read and study His Word), and health to all their flesh. (Proverbs 4:22)
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7
We must make sure when we ask, we believe we will receive. When we seek, search the scriptures for what we are asking and believing for and with the help of the Holy Spirit we will find. When we knock, making sure that what we are asking for is the will of God.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:1-2
When we walk in the ways of the Lord and meditate on His Word, we are definitely BLESSED! It’s important to go where the Holy Spirit leads.
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever we do, we need to do it unto the Lord. We have a gift and a work to do. Let’s make sure we do it unto Him.
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
The Lord is merciful and He is Loving. We are protected by Him, for we abide in Him. He is so faithful.
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
We are to meditate on the Word of God and speak it out of our mouth and do what He says to do. God’s Word (the Bible) is our instruction manual. As we are a doer of the Word, we will be prosperous and we will have good success God’s way.
And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.
Being kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving one another is not a suggestion, but a command. Being kind, being tender hearted and forgiving each other is done by the Love of God. We have been forgiven, so we are to be obedient and a doer of the Word of God and forgive one another.
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
2 Timothy 1:9
God has saved us by sending His only begotten Son to die for us and raising Him from the dead. God is the One Who has called us and we not ourselves. Not according to what we did, but according to His purpose and plan.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Abiding in Jesus and His Words abiding in us should be one of our main focus.
