Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. (1 John 4:7-11 KJV)
Loving one another is not a suggestion. As we see here in these verses that Love is of God for God is Love so we see as the body of Christ, He loved us first and He sent His Son to be the propitiation (Greek- atonement) for our sins. The Amplified says, the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.
To love one another is a command as we are the body of Christ and we are to walk in Love and be His Love as Jesus was when He walked the earth. We have been enabled to be His Love. Walking in Love and being God’s Love is His will and provision.
They that love God will not intentionally cause strife with others. They will intentionally walk in Love and Love one another. Let us all focus on walking in and being the Love of God! We are blessed and we will continue to be blessed by our obedience to God! Be Blessed!
